Online reputation is important in
maintaining the website visibility. Reputation management is an online
monitoring of a person, brand or business reputation. This is an important tool
to reach out to more potential clients. Most of the searches in the internet
are based mainly on the positive response or reflection on your business.
Managing online reputation is crucial for
potential customer’s searches. People needed a positive backbone or reputation
for them to gain their trust in a particular brand. Any negative reflection on
your company will take its toll on your business. Since most of the
information, blogs and discussions are constantly changing in the social media.
A more direct approach for reputation management is important even for small
business.
“Word of mouth advertising” as a part of
online reviews has a great role if you wanted your business to flourish. A
powerful tool in your business, see to it that you are using this to your own
advantage. Be wary of any negative comments and be able to respond or solve
them before it could damage the reputation of your brand, business, or company.
Getting ahead of the competition is tricky.
Grow and expand your business without below the belt and underhanded means like
reversing the image or reputation of your competitors. These methods are the
likes of spreading false rumors and misleading information. Be aware that this
can backfired to you.
Campaigns in the social media can boost
your business’ online reputation. More followers and a more directive approach
in maintaining good relationship with your fans can grow into more positive
results. Credibility is so crucial that it can make or break your online
reputation. Good image means stable marketing efforts against unnecessary defamation.
This can be the best offense and defense you can have a more productive online
exposure.

Anyone who
has already experienced the Facebook graph would wonder, “Is Facebook a copycat
of Google+ platform?” One of my favorite reaction from friends is “Seriously,
Facebook?” The question still lingers on how and where the competition are
heading.
Google+ team
may not be exactly pleased on how the Facebook Home represents to think that
the flexible OS can be easily skinned that you may not think it is from Google.
The social network had already applied this flexible operating system by
introducing the Facebook Home. Does this boil down to gritted teeth will all
this competition? Let’s hear what the Google spokesperson will have to say:
“The Android platform has spurred the development of hundreds
of different types of devices. This latest collaboration demonstrates the
openness and flexibility that has made Android so popular. And it’s a win for
users who want a customized Facebook experience from Google Play — the heart of
the Android ecosystem — along with their favorite Google services like Gmail,
Search, and Google Maps.”
The greater challenge will be on the Google’s part. To snag
more online viewers not to mention dollars in online advertising, people who
had created an account in Gmail and Youtube (among other Google services)are
being set up with Google+ pages. Since both of the parties are getting the
large bulk of revenues in online, Google are setting up measures for the users
use the Google+.
This tactic had been from the Google’s top management.
Google+ may be the answer to prevent the Facebook from dominating the social
networking realm. A more aggressive and drastic approach is what they needed?
Is the Google trying too hard? The
greater challenge will be the user’s willingness to share.
I have encountered this info graphic. It is worth a look:

Writing quality content is very important. There are several
factors that you need to consider when writing a reader-friendly content. Writing content is easy but writing that
writing that can stand out in the crowd is trickier. Learning how to achieve this is time
consuming, but learning the basics will help you smooth out the process.
Here are the simple yet important tips to gain more loyal
visitors:
1.
Pin point Essential Information.
Chances are, more of your readers will read
the important points in your content; so do not beat around the bush. Include
important information about your products and services, related data,
experience and contact numbers. This
will give the readers the impression that the website is useful for them.
2.
Be clear
and concise.
Writings should be relevant on your
website. If you are writing longer articles, have the content in several
paragraphs, this way the readers will not be bored on reading. Put pictures and
videos for an appealing pull to your viewers or readers. Interaction is
important in communication.
3.
Check on the grammar, please.
Proofreading is essential. Reread and rewrite if you have to. Bad grammar
will leave a bad mark into your website.
4.
Build trust with your readers.
Write what the readers wanted to read. Use simple words that anyone can
understand. This way, you will be able to send across to your readers the
information that you wanted to convey. Trust can be achieved through time.
Avoid self boosting and exaggeration to achieve this.
5.

The best way to use is the
inverted pyramid structure. The main points are in the first paragraph. It is
the summary of what the article is all about. You can add the contact details
and products information on the body of your content.

Tumblr as a Tool for Social Media Marketing
Tumblr had marked its 100 million blogs with 44.6 billion posts. This
milestone had been observed since last year of April 2012 when it had reached
the 50 million mark for the first time. The pace is fast accelerating in the
month of March this year. No doubt, Tumblr had become one of the most visited
sites in the world.
It had come a long way from its foundation in 2007 by David Karp.
It is now home of 167 employees and is available in 12 languages. The company’s
viewer share is continued to increase despite the competition of Facebook,
Twitter, and Google+. The aim audience of the site are coming from the US, comprises
of 45% of the whole Tumblr community. Brazil had been a forerunner with 49
million visits; while UK has 34 million visits.
With these significant numbers, Tumblr would be a powerful tool for
businesses to advertise and make known to the public. The platform would also
be interactive to the business followers because of its “ask” tool. This is a
great customer engagement tool.
How to engage your viewers using your posts?
First and foremost, you need to keep the content interesting. This
means that you should post according to what your followers wanted to see. Make
sure you understand what kinds of materials are likely to gain more following
by the community.
Keep your messages short and interesting. Add pictures and even
animated GIF’s while you can. If you wanted to post longer content, make sure
to post them in paragraphs for the viewer’s easier reading.
Second, master the art of reblogging. This can be done by adding
insightful comment to the text or post. Any new text will be seen by your
followers and their followers as well. Choose the post that should be clearly relevant
to your business. This can help promote your products and as well as value the users’
original post creativity and opinion.

Have you already
experienced the Facebook Graph Search?
In January, Facebook
had introduced this new kind and more detailed kind of search tool. If you are
looking for photos of your friends, where they are, where and what they are
eating, this would be the right tool for you. The filtering of search term and
faster and a more fluid form.
But at this point, vast of majority do not
have the Graph Search yet. This may due to the fact that the tool is introduced
in stages and it is only available in English. Some of the users will feel
alienated with the language barrier. The Graph Search is like the “Local Search”
that we have known, but had not attracted large audience. But this had not stopped
more businesses, small or not, to take advantage of the tool.
The Graph
search relies on algorithm that engaged more users by being more interactive and
detailed on the things that they are searching on the network. Now having to
search on the graduation picture and on your high school can give you faster
results. Users will have to request first before they can have this new look in
your user account. The results from initial users will generate information before
it will be uses by the whole Facebook community.
Business
wise, this will be good news for user and engagement of fans. The demographics
of the business’ target market will be easier being observed. The breakdown
will help a lot on the marketing efforts in that particular market.
I, for one
had experienced the difference. The searching tool is fine, I could find the
photos of my friends in an instant, but one thing I do not like about the new
look is on the “Timeline” post and status because it creates a look of “I could
not find post” which is disorganized, Well maybe I could get use to it.
Like
Facebook Search Graph? You decide.

What’s not
to like in a fresh new look? Summer is definitely here; nothing beats a new
look to level with the heat. Over the months, I have experienced and observed
series of transformation to my third most favorite website, Pinterest. The
style make-over is fresh and have a bold new look for easier navigation.
The brand
new look launched last March 18 is highlighting the best quality of the social
networks’ features and qualities. They are currently working on the design
interface. The changes in the design can be easily seen: bigger pins, and
easier search tools. Pinterest is also working on the backend or the very
foundation of the website. Just like any make-over, it is not enough that the style
changes are only on the surface.
What I like
most in this platform is that you can pin all you want, yet these pins are
organized in the pin boards. The better browsing and search features will give the
user the access to all search categories without leaving the page you are
currently on. You can also see the feature that tells you the people who also
pinned the particular post.
![]() |
| Editing the pin without leaving the page you are currently on. |
The user feedback
is the core reason why the site is making these necessary changes. Pinterest
lovers are determined to be part of this transformation. People love to pin.
That must is true. Companies, brands and retailers get more out of this
platform if used wisely. Creating boards of your interest is easy and fun! Up
to date, it visitors had already surpassed 25 million. With these numbers, one
can say, “So many things to pin but so little time!” So true.
With the
fanbase number as of now, more businesses are looking forward to monetize this.
Social media had created impact on consumer behavior, and having the Pinterest
Web Analytics, many marketers will have a step ahead in making money. The
Analytics is a great tool to tract what are trending, how many people are
repining, how many people are looking through these pins and what the most
recent pins are.
With these
transformations and a value of $200 billion, the website must maintain its
appearance to stay in the limelight.
Chao! I
still have pins to be pinned in my board.

| Social Media as an effective way of advertising products and services. |
Social media marketing is an effective form of online
advertising. Businesses can take full advantage of advertising on social
networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram, among
other. Advertisers can use the demographics upon knowing the target audience
appropriately.
Social media is one form of direct advertising. It is based
upon on the business network of friends, thus reaching out to more potential
buyers. It is an effective way in promoting your products and services since
most of the purchasing power are based on the culture and buying decisions of
that particular group. If your friends are buying blackberries, you are more opting
to buy that particular brand of phone since most of your friends are using it.
Direct advertising can also work by using the Facebook. Most
of the web advertisers are using the social network site by placing a banner
about that company, creating a page and engage more people into that particular
page. This would be a targeted way in profiling the target market, thus, the company
will place the ad directly to you.
These ads are mostly placed on the application pages through
ad networks such as SponsorPay. Application developers are creating apps that are
interactive that the advertisers can reach out to more social networking users.
This is an engaging way to reach out to more potential consumers.
Indirect approaches in social media advertising are by
creating groups or pages. This can be best describing in Facebook and
Google+. It enables the users to join a
particular group they wish to join. The brand can built up by using the ‘fans’,
‘subscribers’ and ‘followers’. A number of advertisers will market a contest,
promote a new product, or post data to increase brand awareness. This type of
groups and pages are growing faster in subscribers: an effective marketing
tool.
